DASSAULT SYSTÈMES

Dassault Systèmes support OirthirSAT with the 3DExperience suite of applications that provides a single repository for design data. Toolsets including CATIA and SIMULIA are invaluable for the design and modelling of the nanosatellite structure and Dragsail payload.

JLCPCB will manufacture the PCB for the Dragsail to be produced for OirthirSAT. In addition the team of design engineers will provide assistance with the purchasing and assembly of the PC104 compatible PCBs.

GU Rocketry is a sister organisation to GU Orbit focussed on developing and launching advanced launch vehicles while developing skills for student engineers.

All OirthirSAT team members began their journeys with GU Orbit, the University of Glasgow's CubeSat development team. As the primary backer of the team, GU Orbit provides advice, organizes events, and helps publicize the OirthirSAT programme.

UNIVERSITY OF GLASGOW

The OirthirSAT team was founded by 10 students from the University of Glasgow with the majority still studying undergraduate and postgraduate courses across the Schools of Computer Science, Engineering, and Geography & Earth Science.

Dundee Satellite Station Ltd. will provide communications and ground station support for the OirthirSAT mission. The experts at Dundee Satellite Station Ltd. have a vast wealth of experience and have been critical in defining the communications subsystems of the nanosatellite.

Ansys has provided access to its comprehensive suite of simulation tools to aid in the design of the OirthirSAT nanosatellite. STK is used by the Systems Engineers to model the nanosatellite in each of its operational modes to ensure that all mission requirements are met.
